  1. I bought the bike to replace my road bike. Living at the bottom of a Yorkshire valley, my only available rides involve significant hills, and I had begun to shy away from scaling them. Using the lowest level of assistance on uphill segments I can confidently get 70 miles out of the bike, and could probably stretch it to 90. The bike rides well, and despite the weight of the battery/motor feels responsive. I would have no hesitation giving it five stars, but I would limit it to four due to the following issues:
1 The Fazua software app was very difficult to set up, and the Halfords staff were not familiar with it. They put effort in to it, but their knowledge was limited and all we could do was Google issues and try to work it out between us. Eventually I took it home without it connected to my phone, and through trial and error got it working (clue – just keep rebooting everything after it has made the Bluetooth connection) 2 When I went to collect the bike the headset was not correctly adjusted – there was enormous movement in it when the front brake was pulled on, so I had to come back the following day when a bike technician was available to fix it.
3 On the first ride the Torx bolts securing the Fazua bottom bracket were loose, causing a clunking feeling as the pedals were turned. Having googled it this seems a common problem, which I have fixed using a small amount of Locktite and a torque wrench – the torque settings are available on the internet.
